How about . . . .
I have a delightful client who calls me out of the blue and says "How about an owl?" or "How about a butterfly?" I always say yes and then get busy figuring out how I'm going to build his suggestion. This butterfly what our last adventure and I can't wait to see what he comes up with next.
Daniel Radcliffe -When your girlfriend is from Michigan nothing
could more fitting than a Fordite Pendant! Dan was so excited to learn about Fordite and how it was the scrap paint that had been cleaned out of the old Detroit car manufacturing plants. He picked the "stone" and helped design the pendant for Erin. |
Larimar Stone from Haiti While at at Jewelry Home Party, Brenda handed me a ziplock baggie with a rock inside. She had no idea what it was but explained that the residents of Haiti had given it to her as a token of thanks for bringing her medical expertise to them in the aftermath of the earthquake. Now she can take the rock out of the baggie and enjoy it as a piece of art. |

My client's request:
"Make it with black stone and make it reminiscent of an arrow head"

Creating A Family Heirloom
When my client starting asking questions about my work and my process I noticed him getting very interested in the stones that I use. Before I knew it he had placed a couple of phone calls to his family still living in Louisiana and we waited patiently for a box of rocks that had been gathered from the back yard in Vernon Parish.
When the box arrived we tore into the plastic bags and found every assortment of petrified wood, palm and Louisiana Obsidian. There are three sons in the famly and my client commissioned a ring for each.
